4 star campsite with heated pool in the Loire Valley

The Isle Verte campsite is located on the banks of the Loire, at the confluence of the Loire and Vienne rivers, a few kilometres from Saumur. This 4-star campsite at the gateway to the village of Montsoreau has many facilities to ensure that your camping holiday in the Loire Valley is as pleasant as possible. To enjoy the wines of the Loire Valley, the campsite bar offers a wine list of Saumur and Anjou. In the restaurant of the campsite l’Isle Verte, you can taste local specialities as well as pizzas. Children will love the heated swimming pool, the playground and the table tennis tables.

Our campsite in Montsoreau has a heated swimming pool where you can relax during the mild summer days. The 136 m² heated pool is perfect for children to play in for hours on end, but also for parents. Depending on your preference, you can swim or sunbathe on the sunbeds that stretch across the pool deck. With its heated swimming pool, our campsite in Saumur is a great destination for families.

The swimming pool at camping l’Isle Verte is open and heated from 1 May to 30 September.
The pool is open every day from 10am to 9pm.

Camping l’Isle verte has a pleasant restaurant where it is pleasant to dine. On the menu you will find simple and delicious dishes with local products, home-made pizzas and a special plancha formula. The terrace, which is partially covered, is a pleasant place to enjoy the mild summer evenings in the Loire Valley. On this terrace you will also find grill tables to cook a selection of meats yourself. We can also offer you tapas based on local specialities. We have a good selection of wines from local producers. The restaurant at Isle Verte also offers a wide range of breakfasts, half-board meals and special group packages.
Once a week in high season, our restaurant welcomes a band for a guinguette evening with a theme meal. Friendly atmosphere, good music and tasty food!

Our restaurant is closed on Monday evening. However, in the village of Montsoreau, 200 metres from the campsite, you will find a number of open restaurants.

The Isle Verte campsite in Montsoreau has a lovely bar with a terrace facing the swimming pool where you can enjoy a wide range of wines from our menu. A real wine bar, our bar is a cosy place to enjoy a glass of wine from local Saumur producers with a wide range of wines from Crémant de Loire, white and rosé, as well as the famous Saumur- Champigny. We have taken care to select the wines offered at the campsite bar ourselves. You can find interviews with our favourite winemakers on the campsite website. Our bar, with its large television, is also open during major sporting events such as the football world cup, the Euro or the Tour de France.  During the hot summer afternoons, you can also enjoy delicious ice creams in the bar of the Isle Verte campsite.

Within walking distance of the campsite you will find a bakery, a butcher’s shop, a grocery shop, several wine tasting cellars and a wide choice of restaurants. In addition, Montsoreau has a market every Sunday morning with stalls full of fresh vegetables, fish and cheese.

New in 2022, the Isle Verte campsite in Montsoreau is equipped with fibre optics and now offers very high speed Wifi. You can now share your best photos of your camping holiday in Saumur on social networks.

The Isle Verte campsite in Montsoreau is nestled in a region of rare cultural wealth. Around Montsoreau and Saumur, don’t miss the troglodytic dwellings dug out of the tufa stone on the slopes of the Loire and the superb cellars that run underground in the region, such as the Ackerman cellar in Saumur, which extend over several kilometres. The white tufa stone has given their identity to the buildings around Montsoreau, such as the splendid Fontevraud Abbey where Richard the Lionheart is buried. A must-see for any stay in Saumur is the Cadre Noir and its equestrian shows. Children will love the Doué la Fontaine Zoo where animals from all over the world live in old stone quarries.
